    The lecture discusses the ongoing feminist uprising “Woman, Life and Freedom” in Iran and provides historical background on gender and sexual politics and the situation of women after the 1979 revolution.
    The lecture can only be attended on campus.

Tetiana Kalenychenko: “Standing and staying for peace. Reflections from peacebuilding practice in Ukraine”
During this lecture you will hear personal and professional reflections from a peacebuilding practitioner in Ukraine. What does it mean to work during the crisis of the last 8 years? How is peacebuilding possible during a full-scale invasion? Why does religion matter, even in a secular state? Is there a special role for women during the war?
Tetiana Kalenychenko, who is combining both academia and practice in Ukraine, will share some personal and professional reflections and will be happy to reflect and discuss them with the audience.

ABOUT THE LECTURERS

Ninna Edgardh is professor emerita in church studies, (particularly in the field of diaconal studies) at Uppsala University. Her doctoral dissertation from 2001 is about feminism and liturgy and is based on material from the 1990s. She reflects on what has happened since then, and what the future holds for feminist liturgy?

Fataneh Farahani is professor in Ethnology and conducts research and teaches, at the Department of Ethnology, History of Religion and Gender Studies at Stockholm University. In her research, she focuses on issues related to migration, home, belonging, and intersectionality. She is the author of Gender, Sexuality and Diaspora (Routledge 2018).

Tetiana Kalenychenko, holds a PhD in the Sociology of Religion and is executive director of the European Center for Strategic Analytics, a dialogue facilitator and a researcher in peacebuilding in Ukraine.
