Attendance Requirements for Different Course Categories
At antagning.se there are only two categories of course — ‘distance course’ and ‘campus course’ — but in our course catalog you can get a clearer picture of what the attendance requirements for the different course categories are.
The distance courses are themselves divided into four sub-categories based on whether they contain scheduled elements and what kind of scheduled elements they are. By seeing which of the four categories matches the course you want to apply for, you can make a judgment based on what is most suitable for you:
- Distance course with neither compulsory web meetings nor compulsory on-campus meetings.
- Distance course with compulsory web meetings but no compulsory on-campus meetings.
- Distance course with compulsory on-campus meetings but no compulsory web meetings.
- Distance course with both compulsory web meetings and compulsory on-campus meetings.
The Department for Religious Studies and Theology
The Department of Religious Studies and Theology has specific attendance requirements for its campus courses. Most of the university’s teaching rooms are equipped with Zoom technology, which enables attendance via a link, but not all teaching is suitable for participation via Zoom. If it will not be possible for you to make regular visits to the university according to a class schedule you should choose one of our distance courses instead.
Department of Human Rights and Democracy
At the Department of Human Rights and Democracy, during the 2022 spring semester, all of our courses will be available both online and on-campus. From the autumn term 2022, all teaching at the department will be conducted on-campus only. The usual attendance requirement of 80% at lectures and 100% at compulsory seminars applies, regardless of which way you choose to follow the course.
The Department of Eastern Christian Studies
The Department of Eastern Christian Studies has specific attendance requirements for its on-campus courses. If it will not be possible for you to make regular visits to the university according to a class schedule, where possible you should choose one of our distance courses instead.
