International Cooperation
UCS is delighted to be involved in a number of local and international partnerships. Our teachers regularly arrange conferences, study and training days, engage in public debate and our staff are often called upon as experts in their areas of specialization.
We cooperate with a number of different centers of learning and education throughout the world which allows us to exchange students and teachers as part of various exchange schemes such as the Erasmus+, the Linneaus-Palme program, and the Minor Field Studies (MFS) program. We belong to various networks of institutions and scholars such as the Nordic Council’s Nordplus program, CEBTS and as members of IAMSCU, Methodist-Related Theological Schools in Europe (MTSE) which is part of the International Association of Methodist Schools, Colleges, and Universities (IAMSCU).
In particular, we have cooperated with Uppsala University and Åbo Akademi University in the areas of Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology and Human Rights. We also had cooperation with the universities of Gothenburg, Umeå, Uppsala and Åbo concerning doctoral students. We cooperate in the form of student and teacher exchanges with Candler School of Theology and The Institute of Human Rights at Emory University in Atlanta, North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, Myanmar Institute of Theology in Yangon and Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC and many others.
