Course registration for Module 2 courses is open 1st of January – 21st of January 2024

  • Registration means that you confirm that you have the intention to attend the course.
  • If you fail to register for the course, you will lose your place.
  • Before the registration you need to create an eduID account, see below.

Registration – step by step

University College Stockholm is connected to LADOK, the national grading system where courses and grades are registered. We also use the Canvas learning platform for the course homepages, where you can find general information about the course, submit assignments, and find the course literature. Therefore, it is essential for all students to be able to log in to both LADOK and Canvas. You will not be able to participate in your course or program unless you do so.

To log in to LADOK and Canvas, students with a Swedish personal identification number should first obtain an eduID (Details of how to register for an eduID can be found below.). This is a digital identification system.

Getting an eduID can take one or two weeks, so it is essential that you register with eduID as soon as possible after you accept your admission offer.

If you do not have a Swedish personal identification number, you cannot obtain an eduID. Instead, you will need to register for LADOK and Canvas by contacting the course administrator (kursadministrator@ehs.se). You should do this as soon as possible after confirmation of your place.

Students with a Swedish personal identification number should follow this step-by-step process:

STEP 1
Create an eduID account as soon as possible. Registration can take some time. Instructions (pdf)

STEP 2
Log in to the course homepages in Canvas with eduID. Instructions (pdf) – opens on December 15, 2023

STEP 3
Log in to LADOK – Using your edu ID. Register for the course(s) 1st of January – 21st of January 2024. More information

For the successful completion of your studies, it is essential to have access to the course literature. It is student’s responsibility to obtain course literature well in advance of the start of each course. Many students buy their own course literature.

The library at University College Stockholm has a selected course literature that can be borrowed, but only for short periods. Certain course books and papers are also made available as reference-only material which means that they can be read only in the library. Students based in Södertälje should know that on average it takes one hour fifteen minutes to travel between Södertälje Central station and Brommaplan station and that the journey by public transport will cost about 40 Swedish Kronor each way.

Note that class attendance is mandatory for all on campus courses. This includes lectures as well as seminars and group work. You need to attend 80% of mandatory meetings.

Students on distance courses must complete at least 80 % of the assignments (which are set on Canvas/Moodle).

If you register for a course, but are unable to start or complete the course, it is important that this is reported to kursadministrator@ehs.se as soon as possible.

If you have a documented long-term disability that affects your studies, you can apply for special learning support. The application should be made in a system called NAIS. It is important that you upload any necessary documentation supporting your disability with your digital application. All documentation is kept confidential. Here is a link to the website: NAIS
