Part 2 Methodology and Literature Course – Eastern Christian Studies

This course is a preparation for writing a Bachelor thesis in Eastern Christian Studies. The first part of the course deepens the knowledge and use of the particular methods and theories regarding one of three perspectives of Eastern Christian Studies: Church History, particularly Patristics; Liturgics; or Ecclesiology.

At the end of the course, the student is expected to be able to:

  • show a clear understanding of how theories of theology interact with methods of theology
  • demonstrate knowledge about theories and methods and be able to use these methods related to the field chosen
  • be able to read and interpret texts, with the methods provided in the course

Kurser i teologi 60 hp: Baskurser 30 hp, minst 15 hp inom Östkyrkliga studier samt minst 15 hp från fortsättningsnivå.
