Liturgics and Liturgical Theology, Distance Education
The course introduces the student to the systematic approach to the variety of liturgies in a theological sense as well as in the intersection between textual criticism, literary criticism, history and linguistics. An important aspect is the historical development in proximity with how the liturgy is perceived and lived by the people.
At the end of the course, the student is expected to be able to:
- be able to understand the connection between space, time and place in the liturgy
- display considerable insight in the concept of Liturgical Theology
- demonstrate considerable knowledge in the particular historical development of liturgies
- reflect critically on the variety of methods in liturgical studies
