Public lecture series in Ecclesiology: “Ministry in the Church” by Dr Adriana Bara

The next lecture in Sankt Ignatios College, Stockholm School of Theology spring series of public lectures entitled “Ministry in the Church”, will be presented on Thursday, March 18 at 1PM (CET) by Dr Adriana Bara.
The lecture has as a starting point the book Ministry in the Church: a Historical and Pastoral Approach by Paul Bernier. The book focuses on the role of the ordained ministry, but tangentially also analyzes the ministry as a facet of all the baptized, not only the vocation of the few. Paul Bernier’s book gives a Catholic perspective on ministry over the centuries and finishes with contemporary questions on what ministry should be in today’s world. The challenges that ministry faces today invite profound reflection. The lecture tries to answer some of the questions raised by the book by analyzing the Church in Canada.
These lectures are compulsory for Pastoral-pedagogical, Religious Educator program students, MA students in Eastern Christian Studies and MA students in International Relations and Ecumenism, but we encourage all of our students to take part. Students will be able to find the link to the lecture on Canvas.
These are public lectures and open to anyone who wishes to take part. If you would like to watch the lecture online, please fill in the form below and send it back to us with your email address. We will send a Zoom link to you 30 minutes before the lecture begins.
