Public lecture series in Ecclesiology: “Global Engagement” by Dr Sara Gehlin
The next lecture in the Sankt Ignatios lecture series on May 20th will be delivered by Dr Sara Gehlin. The title of her lecture is “Global Engagement”.
In this lecture, Sara Gehlin approaches the issue of global engagement with a view to the role of religious agents in the building of peace cultures. The lecture exemplifies the way active listening, exchange, and education provide tools for the strengthening of this engagement. Moreover, the lecture discusses the way religious groups, with these tools at hand, might contribute to the development of public diplomacy.
These lectures are compulsory for Pastoral-pedagogical, Religious Educator program students, MA students in Eastern Christian Studies and MA students in International Relations and Ecumenism, but we encourage all of our students to take part.
