William T. Cavanaugh, professor at DePaul University in Chicago and one of the world’s leading theologians, will be lecturing at EHS.

It is often claimed that religion causes violence and is a source of unrest, conflict, and war throughout history. But is it really true? In his book “The Myth of Religious Violence,” theologian William Cavanaugh examines this notion and questions where it comes from and who benefits from it.

The lecture is part of a course curriculum but is also open to the public.
